Banks look to private cloud computing for application and data access
A survey of 35 IT executives at tier one banks by cluster, grid and cloud management software firm Platform shows 83% of banks see private clouds as their first priority.
This finding mirrors recent research from analyst Gartner, which said large firms generally are first looking to form private internal clouds to distribute and support apps and data access, before they turn to outside cloud service providers.
