Data takes to the clouds
"I've been waiting for this decade," says Songnian Zhou, CEO of Toronto-based Platform Computing. He started his business in 1997 to transfer the grid computing approach developed by the University of Toronto into the commercial world. Since then, the company has been supporting the massive data processing requirements of organisations like computer chip designer ARM and the UK Nuclear Agency.
